Over the October school holidays (2024) I had the opportunity of a lifetime, to tour across Europe with Gondwana Voices! Those three weeks were some of the best of my entire life, filled with friends, laughter, travel and most importantly, MUSIC!!
We started out our trip with a couple of days to rehearse in an incredible place called Grittleton where we literally stayed in a castle. After a few days to get over the jetlag and practice, we went into London where we got to perform with the renowned Marliya Choir in the famous Barbican!
Paris was our next stop where we did lots of sightseeing as well as some shopping, on top of performing at La Madeleine which was absolutely gorgeous! I thought that it couldn’t get any better, turns out I was wrong! We went on to Bilbao, Spain and met our first billet family and got to perform with their choir which was so much fun. After arriving in Granollers, our final destination, we were warmly welcomed by our last billet family. While in Granollers we had another opportunity to collaborate with the choirs there which was a fantastic experience. We wrapped up the trip in Barcelona for a day of sightseeing before heading back home.
If you are considering singing with Gondwana Choirs, I definitely recommend it, you will form many precious memories as well as extending your musical skills and knowledge.
