Teaching Studio Events
Student Solo Recitals
All students are encouraged to do their own solo recitals at any time throughout the year or cabaret show in the studio with stage curtains, lights and invite a small audience. A great chance to practice your performance skills!
End of Year Recital
This is a very special event every year for the Juniors and Intermediate singers. Please note during Covid these recitals may not take place but solo recitals in the studio can still be done.
Ameb Exams
Students of all ages may present for singing exams in classical, music theatre and RSL with the AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) at various times during the year beginning in May with last exams in November.
Discuss with me which program you would like to do. Some students may choose a variety of them.
Annual Eisteddfods
There are many around Perth but the main ones my studio patronises are:
- Fremantle Eisteddfod
- North Perth Music Festival sponsored by the City of Bayswater – September 2022
- Barcelona Festival of Song
Auditions
August-November (yearly) all major institutions in Australia

Lead Role Shared by Best Friends!
Follow the yellow brick road girls! Amber Scates and Zoe Crisp (ages 17) have both landed the lead role of Dorothy in John Curtin's 2017 musical "The Wizard of Oz". Performances in late June. Time to brush up on 'Somewhere over the Rainbow'!!

Audition Successes
WAAPA Music Theatre Certificate (2016) student Keaton Staz (18, L) and Rama Nicholson (16, R) have both done successful auditions for the Classical Voice Bachelor and Diploma courses at WAAPA 2017.
It’s a Party!
Jessica-Monique (age 11) has won The Most Outstanding Junior Vocalist of the North Perth Music Festival 2016 and of course with the song "My Party Dress" (Kerrigan/Lowdermilk) Congratulations Jessica-Monique!
Winners Win Encouragement Award!

South Suburban Music Eisteddfod Bernay Studio Winners
Sasha Brown (10) and Jessica-Monique Bojanjac (12) received 1st and 2nd prizes on Saturday, October 15th. Held at Zenith Music Claremont. Well done!
