I have been learning with Laura since 2016 when I was 9 up until 2025 in the very last year of my high school journey. Throughout my close to a decade of learning under her expertise, she has impacted not only my growth as a singer and a performer but also my growth as a person.
Laura helped me discover my potential in music theatre and acting through song, leading me to be accepted into John Curtin College of the Arts’ Music Theatre program. Her guidance and support throughout my audition process truly illuminated her virtuosity and genuine care for her students.
Throughout my years at John Curtin Laura helped me prepare for a multitude of auditions, and I have her to thank for my success in the course, from being awarded the Certificate of Music Theatre award at my school and playing Fantine in Les Miserables.
Laura is truly a once in a lifetime teacher and I will forever be grateful that I had such an incredible role model for such a long time in my life. She developed me from someone with minimal acting experience to a performer who finds the most joy in the acting side of songs. Learning under Laura has also expanded my repertoire and appreciation of music as an art form, immersing me in the world of classical music and singing in languages from French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Japanese.
Although I do not plan on pursuing music as a career, Laura’s guidance has helped me achieve some of the highlights of my life thus far, and the generosity and kindness she extends to all her students is an admirable quality, making her someone I deeply respect.
